According to the friendly consultations between H.E. LIU Fei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Federated States of Micronesia and Hon. Isaac Figir, Speaker of the Congress of the FSM, the Chinese Embassy donated 22 swivel chairs to the FSM Congress in June 2008 and all the chairs have been handed over to the Congress.

On July 29 2008, Ambassador LIU and Speaker Figir signed the Hand-Over Certificate for the chairs donation at the Chamber of the Congress. Hon. Isaac Figir thanked the kind donation from the Chinese Embassy. Hon. Lorin Robert, Secretary of Foreign Affairs expressed that with the joint efforts between the two sides, the friendly and cooperative relations between the FSM and China will be further enhanced and developed.

Mr. Kandhi Elieisar, Assistant Secretary of Foreign Affairs and some staff from the Congress also attended the ceremony.
